Steel solutions, simplified.
Galvanized
Hot-dip galvanized sheet is carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on two sides by the continuous hot-dip process. The process results in a layer of zinc on each side of the steel sheet that adheres tightly to the steel through the formation of an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer. The iron-zinc layer is formed by a diffusion process while the heated steel strip is in contact with the molten zinc.
Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is available in many options, including a wide range of widths and thicknesses, various grades (High Strength - EDDS), coating weights (G30 – G235) and surface finishes & treatments. We offer galvanized in standard & custom sheet sizes and custom coil widths and weights.
Galvannealed
Galvannealed sheet is carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on both sides by the continuous hot-dip process. A thermal process produces an iron-zinc alloy coating that is optimized for painted applications. The excellent corrosion resistance that results when the alloyed coating is painted is useful in many applications that demand long service life.
Galvannealed sheet is the best choice for a combination of superior paint adhesion, easy weldability and galvanic protection. We offer galvannealed in standard & custom sheet sizes and custom coil widths and weights.
Hot Roll
Hot rolled steel is the most common and inexpensive type of steel available. It is made into many grades by adding various ingredients and varying the heating/cooling processes. The mixture is heated to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit (minimum) before rolling the red-hot steel into sheet or plate. Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled (HRPO) is hot-rolled steel that has been exposed to an acid bath. The acid bath removes and neutralizes oxidation.
This process makes a smoother surface suitable for additional manufacturing applications. Once dry, an oil is applied to prevent rust. Hot rolled is available is many different grades and sizes. We offer hot rolled in sheet, coil, plate and structural sizes.
Stainless
Stainless steel is a metal alloy which is made up of steel mixed with different elements such as chromium, nickel and molybdenum, along with iron and carbon. Chromium is added to make it rust resistant, and the addition of nickel improves its corrosion resistance. Increasing amounts of chromium in the stainless alloy creates a greater high temperature resistance to corrosion.
For this reason, stainless steel plate or sheet are used in a multitude of applications, ranging from aircraft, food service and marine applications to medical equipment. Stainless steel comes in many grades and finishes. We offer an extensive line of grades and finishes in sheet, custom blank sizes, coil, bar and structural.
Structural
Structural steel is a category of steel used in many construction applications. Available in many shapes, it is essential in virtually all construction projects. Common shapes are beam, angle, channel, tube, pipe and plate.
We offer these products in various sizes, grades and specifications to meet the unique demands of your project including aluminum, stainless and carbon steel. Each piece of steel is rigorously tested to ensure it meets the strictest structural and environmental standards.
Aluminized
Aluminized Steel is carbon steel coated, through the hot-dip process, with an aluminum-silicon alloy. This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel sheet and its aluminum coating, producing material with a unique combination of properties as compared to steel or aluminum alone.
Aluminized Steel can be made using a variety of processes, but the most effective process is hot dipping. The process of hot dipping starts by cleaning the steel, placing it in a bath of aluminum and silicone (Type 1) or aluminum only (Type 2), and then removing it, allowing the coated steel to air dry.
Aluminum
Aluminum is the 13th element in the periodic table and is one of the most widely used metals. It is incredibly lightweight, highly durable, conductive, ductile and corrosion resistant. Aluminum has hundreds of alloys and tempers available for specific applications.
We carry many of the common alloys and tempers and offer stocking programs for some of the more exotic alloys. Aluminum is available in virtually all shapes and sizes. We offer an extensive line of grades and finishes in sheet, custom blank sizes, coil, bar and structural.
Cold Roll
Cold Rolled is a product made with a high degree of gauge accuracy and uniformity of physical characteristics. Cold Rolled Steel's smooth, deoxidized, matte finish gives an excellent base for paint, lacquer, and enamel. Box annealing and absence of scale permit stamping and moderate drawing operations.
Cold rolled is available in a vast array of grades and is most commonly protected from rust with a coating of light oil. We offer an extensive line of grades and it is available in sheet, custom blank sizes and coil.
